Lucas Légeret, the young Swiss driver from the Duqueine Engineering team was back on track for the V de V Endurance Series this weekend. For his first ever qualification in his career, he overpassed the expectations by finishing in the second position at only 5 hundredths from the pole position. Sharing the LMP car N°9 with Nelson Panciatici, he was then unfortunately hit by another competitor at the start. However, Lucas finally managed to fight back to finish 7th.

Lucas Légeret : « First of all, I want to thank Duqueine Engineering team to have given me the opportunity to take the lead for the qualifications. To be in charge to compete for the grid when you have such a strong teammate as Nelson Panciatici showed me how much the team trusts me. It was really fun to be able to push with new tires though I tried to keep a margin as the smallest mistake could push you out on Jarama circuit.I always want to be on the top and to finish at 5 hundredths from the pole-position was a little disappointing. However, I also think that this second position is already a very good result and this experience will help me for the next races. To have been hit on the start surely ruined our race as we were looking for a second consecutive victory with Nelson. But finally, I could drive two hours and improve my driving in heavy traffic situations on this sinuous track. »
