After having missed the pole position for only 5 hundredths in his first qualifications ever at Jarama circuit two weeks ago, another great moment was ahead of Lucas Légeret career this weekend: his first race on the mythical track of Spa-Francorchamps. Dealing with an important agenda, the young Swiss driver never had the chance until now to practice on the particular Belgian circuit, well known for his quick turns including the famous “Raidillon de l’Eau Rouge”. To make it harder and more challenging for the young talented driver, the two free practices were disturbed by the fog and a lot of interruptions due to other cars incidents. However, racing in Spa is always an amazing experience.

Lucas Légeret:Racing for the first time in Spa was such a great moment. It’s a dream for every pilot and I’m so thankful. Having said that, I really had a lot of work this weekend as I had to discover this amazing but difficult track very quickly and find my path in the same time. In fact, I did a good start and could avoid any collision during the first laps.I was quite fast on track although more practice would have helped me to be even faster. But this is also an endurance and team race, and I had to be careful of my tires for my teammates. However, I also had some nice fights with the other cars and it was amazing to compete with that speed. Racing in Spa is a big step forward in every’s pilot career and I am quite happy with the way things went for me. It will surely help us for the rest of the season. Unfortunately, the race circumstances and a collision of one of my teammate prevented us from making a good top 10 but Vincent Beltoise, Nicolas Melin and I showed we had a good speed. Finally, I’m already excited to race all together again in Portimao with big ambition. I have no doubt we will be able to do something great.
